Gertrude C. Ford Center for the Performing Arts
The Ford Center is a world-class arts and entertainment venue for the state and region, offering music, drama, and dance performances to the general public. But most performing arts centers rely upon private contributions to sustain operations and programming, and the Ford Center is no different. The newly launched Celebrating the Arts campaign aims to double the Ford Center’s endowment, bringing it to $3 million.

University Museum and Historic Houses
The museum is proud to serve the community through programs, events, and new exhibitions. It depends heavily on the support of patrons to bring in new shows and for the upkeep of historic treasures, including William Faulkner’s Rowan Oak.

Center for the Study of Southern Culture
Over the last 40 years, the Center has become a focal point for innovative education and research on the American South, strengthening the university’s instructional program in the humanities, promoting scholarship on many aspects of southern culture, and encouraging public understanding of the South as a diverse and complex space.

Southern Foodways Alliance
The Southern Foodways Alliance documents, studies, and explores the diverse food cultures of the changing American South. Our work sets a welcome table where all may consider our history and our future in a spirit of respect and reconciliation.
A member-supported organization based at the University of Mississippi’s Center for the Study of Southern Culture, the SFA collects oral histories, produces films and podcasts, publishes great writing, sponsors scholarships, mentors students, and stages events that serve as progressive and inclusive catalysts for the greater South.
