Campaign Opportunities
STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS
Through the Now & Ever Campaign, increased funds for scholarships will attract more students from diverse backgrounds to begin and complete degrees and set them on a path to impact every part of Mississippi and beyond. Financial assistance is particularly transformative for first-generation students and those from underserved areas of our state and nation. The ability of degree holders to lift their entire families out of generational poverty enhances the quality of life for themselves and their communities.
Increased financial assistance is needed for multidisciplinary students and for freshmen who are not eligible for school-based scholarships until they choose a major. Financial assistance in the form of scholarships, assistantships, and fellowships are the defining competitive factor attracting students from around the country who have great potential.
NON-ACADEMIC SUPPORT
The Catch a Break Fund helps students at our Regional Campuses who have unforeseen emergencies and assists in their retention. With your support of the Now and Ever Campaign, we can expand the Catch a Break Fund to the Oxford campus to help more students who face day-to-day challenges that threaten their academic achievements. Additionally, we seek to expand our Supplemental Fund to help level the playing field for students who have few resources. These funds will be used to help with childcare, textbooks, technology, and everyday barriers to success.
EXPAND LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES
Multidisciplinary studies generally attract high-achieving, top SAT-scoring students with multiple areas of interest who see a cross-disciplinary degree program as offering them space to explore their options, time to choose what they will study, and the opportunity to create a program which fits their interests, talents, and career objectives.
